01About the clinic
A small clinic, run the way we would want to be treated.
Smile YA Dental Sdn Bhd opened in 2022 on the third floor of Golden Triangle 2, Bayan Lepas. Our goal has never been to be the biggest clinic in Penang. It is to be the one your friend sends you to when they finally find a dentist they trust.
We explain things in plain language, stay conservative with treatment, and use modern equipment because careful dentistry deserves good tools. Our register is quiet, our hands are steady, and our Thursday is your Thursday off too.
Gentle by default
If you are anxious about dentistry, tell us at the door. We pace every appointment around you, not around the chair.

From a first scaling to a full set of veneers, every service at YA Dental is delivered by Dr. Amber Chin herself. Nothing is outsourced to a locum you have never met.
Braces
Metal, ceramic, or clear aligner options to correct crowding or crossbite.
Scaling and polishing
Deep clean to clear tartar and the bacterial film that drives gum disease.
Tooth extraction
Simple and surgical extractions, including wisdom teeth. Numb first, work fast.
Dentures
Partial and complete dentures, precisely impressioned so they sit comfortably.
Whitening
In-chair and take-home trays. Brighter teeth without stripping the enamel.
Composite bridges
Fibre-reinforced composite bridges for a missing tooth, minimally invasive.
Root canal
Endodontic therapy that clears infection and saves the tooth. Quicker than it sounds.
Crowns and bridges
Porcelain or zirconia crowns shaped to match your surrounding teeth.
Gingivectomy
Gum reshaping for an even smile line, often paired with veneers or whitening. Local anaesthetic only.
Minor oral surgery
General-scope surgical cases, including impacted canines, cyst removal, and infant frenectomy.

Dr. Amber Chin, founder.

Dr. Amber graduated from the University of Malaya’s Faculty of Dentistry and received the Dr. Solmi Abdullah Outstanding Female Graduate award on leaving. She has practised general dentistry for more than five years, with a clinical interest in aesthetic work, including veneers, whitening, and composite bonding.
She started Klinik Pergigian YA because she wanted to run a clinic where the dentist recognises you by name, the treatment rooms smell of coffee, not chlorhexidine, and nobody rushes through an appointment to pad the diary.

We are on the third floor, unit 35-03-11. There is ground-level parking under the block, and the lift runs until close. The clinic is a five-minute drive from Queensbay Mall and the Free Industrial Zone.
